Domain Doctor

Privacy policy

Prepared 1 October 2026. Operator: Yasar Shehzad. Contact: info@editortext.com.

Data we process and why

We process the public domain, check scope and optional DKIM selectors that you supply, plus public DNS responses and website response headers and certificate information. We use them only to perform the requested diagnostic and return a report to ChatGPT or your MCP client. Domain names and publicly listed contact addresses may be personal data in some cases.

We do not request account credentials, mailbox content, message bodies or your conversation history. Please do not put secrets or private/internal domains into tool inputs. We do not send email or fetch website page content.

Recipients and network requests

DNS query names are sent to Google Public DNS over HTTPS; queries disable client-subnet forwarding. Website checks connect to the domain’s public web servers and approved redirects within the same registrable domain. Google and destination servers can see query names or requests, the service’s network address and request timing, and apply their own policies. OpenAI receives tool inputs and results under its own terms and privacy policy.

The hosting provider processes network and operational data necessary to run the service. Provider request logs can contain connection metadata such as IP addresses, timestamps, request paths and status codes. They must not record diagnostic POST bodies. The launch configuration must confirm the actual provider and its log retention before publication.

Retention

The application has no database and does not persist requested domains, tool inputs or diagnostic reports. DNS answers are cached only for the active diagnostic. In-memory rate-limit counters use salted hashes of the connecting client’s IP address, expire when the minute changes and disappear on restart. The connecting client may be an OpenAI server rather than your device.

Aggregate call, error, rejection and duration counters contain no domains or user identifiers and are emitted as operational logs. The intended retention for hosting logs is at most 30 days; the operator must configure and verify that limit before launch. Support email is retained only as needed to resolve a request, normally no longer than 90 days after resolution unless a legal obligation requires otherwise.

Your choices and rights

You can avoid using the tool, stop further checks or disconnect the plugin. No cookies, advertising profiles or persistent user analytics are used. Contact the operator to ask about access, correction, deletion or other applicable data rights. Rights requests can apply to hosting logs or support correspondence even though diagnostic reports are not stored by the application. You may also contact the relevant data protection authority. Stop using the service if you do not want the described public network checks.

Changes and international processing

Network providers may process data internationally. The final host, region and applicable transfer arrangements must be confirmed by the operator before publication. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
